Event Timeline

The 2026 IWWF Open, U23 and Junior Barefoot World Championships is the largest tournament to date on the newly built Champions Lake in Auburndale, Florida!

Daily Event Running Order will be posted after registration is complete.

Saturday, October 17th, 2026

The Opening Ceremony will include a parade of athletes, welcome speeches, music and FUN! VIP Reception for officials and dignitaries will be upstairs in the new Auburndale Civic Center before the event.

Saturday – Thursday, October 17th – 22nd, 2026

First official day Competition will be Saturday (1/2 day) and semi finals will continue until Wednesday.

Join us at Camp Margaritaville’s Pavilion for Banana George Barefoot Reunion / IWWF HOF Induction Event!

We are inviting Banana George’s friends and family from around the country and the world to attend a very special night to celebrate the Banana George Blair! It will feature a DJ Davie Dance Party, drinks, food and a Banana George Memorabilia Auction. A $20 donation to the Banana George Scholarship is requested and will be collected at the door to attend the event. But if you can’t make a very large donation… come anyway to celebrate the Bananaman! The IWWF Hall of Fame Induction Ceremony will be held at 7pm with the Blair Family on hand to accept the Hall of Fame Award on George’s behalf.
